Used Car Prices at Historic High

It seems that demand for used cars is not greater than supply resulting in historic prices. Meanwhile, new car dealers continue to struggle during these tough economic times. versa

What do used car dealers have to say about this? Well, they say now is still a good time to buy a used car because even though prices are higher they will likely continue to rise. I can’t say I particularly agree with that statement… but what else are they going to say, hold off on buying our product?

One good opportunity is trading in your used car for a new one. Now this actually makes sense.
This may be a great way to get a good deal. If you trade up for a small down payment you get a warranty and a brand new car.  Not a bad deal at all.

Looking to purchase a used car? Ger ready to pay more than you would have just a few years ago. According to the NADA the average price of a one to five year old pickup truck increased from $15,000 to $18,000 in just five years.
